The Byres
Equipped and furnished to a high standard through-out - Sleeps up to 4 people.
The Byres self-catering cottage is double glazed and has electric storage heaters throughout. All electricity, coal, logs, bed linen and towels are included in the rental. WiFi internet is also available throughout the cottage.
Downstairs:
The downstairs of the property consists of a large well equipped kitchen diner with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster and iron. T-towels and washing up liquid are included in your rental. Tea, Coffee and milk will be provided for your arrival. A tumble dryer is available for guests use in the bike storage/drying building adjacent to the property.
There is a comfortable lounge room with exposed beams, open coal fire (logs and coal provided) plus an alternative electric fire, Flat screen TV and DVD player. A selection of DVD's, books, board games and children's toys are also provided. Perfect for relaxing after a hard day walking or sightseeing. The lounge room provides access to the sheltered rear patio garden.
The traditionally furnished separate dining room provides a restful dining space for up to 4 people. There is access from the dining room to a seating area to the side of the property.
The main entrance to the cottage is a large glass fronted slate floored porch area, ideal for storing walking boots, equipment and the full stock of logs for the fire.
Upstairs:
The upstairs area consists of 3 comfortable bedrooms, 1 kingsize, 1 double and 1 twin, a family bathroom and landing area.
All the bedrooms feature original exposed beams and are fully furnished with pine furniture providing plenty of storage. The beds are fully made up for your arrival with electric blankets provided.
The bedrooms share a family bathroom which has a full size bath, separate shower, toilet and wash basin. Towels and toilet rolls are provided in your rental.
Staying with children?
A cot, highchair, stair gate, fireguard, toilet seat and step and a small selection of toys are provided.
Outside:
The Byres is situated in the small hamlet of Selside, set back from the main road in a courtyard setting next to the owners property. There is parking for 2 cars on a cobbled area outside the property.
The outside area consists of a private secluded multi level patio area with mature rockery garden which can be accessed from the lounge. The patio is ideal for relaxing with a good book or unwinding after a hard day. A good range of patio furniture is provided allowing for outdoor eating along with a charcoal BBQ and washing line.
There is another smaller sheltered patio seating area at the side of the cottage.
A lockable building next to the property is provided for guests use which contains a tumble dryer and is ideal for storing bikes and drying waterproofs.
